the family camera sees all......

an early Christmas gift! and here is the first batch of apples and pears ready to be dried....

and here is what 15 apples and 2 giant pears look like after 5 hours in the food dehydrator. they taste way better than what we were previously buying at the store...thanks again Dad and Lana!

Greg was out of town on Monday night for work and much to my surprise, both kids wanted to help me with dinner prep. it was really fun to see them in the kitchen...actually, to be working side by side with them...

and finally, here are some images that were taken by sol and poppy. we allow them full use of the camera and they often take pictures of their toys, the angles where the walls meet the ceiling, many of the flash in the mirror, but mostly of odds and ends they find picture-worthy. i think it is fun to see things literally...through their eyes.

these dice are extremely important to the kids....i can understand why they made the cut. they determine who will get to sit in the coveted 'chair in the right-hand, counter-side spot' at the kitchen table. why that spot became so special, who knows!?!? whoever wins the dice roll in the morning gets to pick their spot (meaning the aforementioned) first then the other person gets to pick at dinner (again, the aforementioned!)

....and last but not least, the self-portraits!

  2. First of all, the fruit looks scrumpdillicious!
Secondly, what a lucky person you are to have such cool sous chefs
Third, your kids have great eyes with a camera and their self portraits are very cool. I especially love the one of Sol mining for gold!
    Thanks for sharing!
