One great forecast.

HAPPY OCTOBER!




This little guy arrived in a package for the kids over a year ago....we found it just in time for this Halloween. It's providing some great dinner time conversation as it is our new centerpiece.






Poppy's preschool celebrated Apple Day and as a kid and parent project we made individual pies to take home and bake. Although Poppy was super helpful making the pie at the school she wanted nothing to do with the final product. Sol happily ate her share.





We planted pumpkin seeds this spring...from the package pictured here. The pumpkins were barely bigger than the seed packet!! Our vines began to suffer after too many days of rain so we harvested the little white treasures a bit early. I don't think they were going to get as big as they were supposed to get....or even turn orange! Oh well, we had fun watching them grow and the vine produced a fruit for all of us...even baby.











We got our fix of orange pumpkins this season at our CSA Farm, Vermont Valley, at the annual Pumpkin Pick. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. It is a really cool experience to see all the people the farm feeds with their produce.



Really, how could you not be just LOVIN' LIFE when it officially outstanding?





Poppy's first day of staying an extra 45 minutes at school for Lunch Bunch. She and Sol both left for school with their ultra cool lunch boxes...but the best thing was that Poppy 'ate the whole damn thing' (a line often used around here from one of our favorite songs by Those Darlin's.)






This past Saturday our library hosted an event called "Read to a Dog." The kids have such a love for dogs that we knew they would enjoy this experience. Fifteen minutes of pure pet bliss for them.







Sol was invited to a sleep-over on Saturday night so the three of us, G, J, & P, went to a kinda-fancy dinner at the Pizzaria down the street from us then came home and played with Poppy's new Harry Potter Lego set. A fun night for all of us (turns out, not a very sleep filled one for Sol!)






Sunday morning we picked up Sol from his friend's house and went to Owen Park Conservancy to bask in the beautiful fall colors and enjoy a morning outside together. We had to keep it going for longer because it was, well, outstanding again...so we got drive-thru coffee and went to the park. What a day!!

Outstanding, indeed.
