the sisters having some fun moments on the bank of Rock Creek
Papa got to visit for a long-ish weekend and Poppy was very eager to hang with him and the backpack
so many, many smiles we saw from Sol and Poppy
Nicco was throwing rocks for Greg to kick like a hacky sack and Greg looked like he was dancing up a storm...really funny series of pics...too bad I couldn't put them all up here!
Sol had his hands and feet in the dirt for three weeks straight - and he absolutely loved it!
a face in the rock
at the end of the hike Greg was still smiling and Poppy was passed out

telling stories around the fire is one of Sol's very favorite things to do...Ben and Chelsea got a taste of our family at one of our finest moments!
Ivan, Nicco, Sol, Greg and Chelsea went skeet shooting for an afternoon - way fun for the rookies I gathered.

neighbor's trampoline brought much happiness to the kids

Farmer's market in Billings with Grandpa Hayes and Grandma Lana - fun even in the pouring rain! The kids got their fill of berries before we even walked away from the vendor's booth!

Bed time stories with Aunt Linds
a few of my great souvenirs: the ice crusher from my childhood (makes yummy crushed ice for healing the sickies) and some of my Dad's 30 year old sourdough starter which was given to him when I was four years old by Skip Bratton!! Can't wait to use it in some waffles!
And finally, we went to personally meet the cows that give us our milk at Sassy Cow Creamery - a very worth while field trip! Such a great way to wrap up our great time here with Lindsey! Can't wait to do it again.Stay tuned for pics of the last big event of this summer- Greg's cousin's wedding in IL this upcoming weekend. We plan to then enjoy a week of down time before school starts Sept 1. What a wild summer we have had! On the go and loads of fun!
Awe jj, looks like a great trip! That sourdough starter! Really?! I love it. I have a new fascination with watching sisters together...you and Lindsay make me really excited for Margot and the new bug. So sweet you two are. Will try that bread! xo
ReplyDeleteHow great to see more of your family, JJ! Looks like the rest of your MT trip was just as wonderful as it started out. Love the sassy cows and we can't wait to try the new bread recipe.
